Details

Create your own cyanotype tapestry using photographs, found objects, and natural materials. Participants will experiment with this early photographic printing process while creating layered works on fabric and paper that draw from their own experiences. Inspired by the themes explored in Roll Call: Two Hundred Years of Black American Art, the workshop encourages participants to consider how art can preserve personal histories and connect individual experiences to broader community narratives. No prior experience is necessary.

All materials will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring dried flowers, leaves, or other small found objects to incorporate into their cyanotype prints. Additional details, including how to submit a personal photograph for use during the workshop, will be shared with registered participants prior to the event.
